Hacker
Hacker is a term used by some to mean "a clever programmer" and by others,
especially those in popular media, to mean "someone who tries to break into
computer systems."

Hard Disk
A hard disk is part of a unit, often called a "disk drive,"

of surfaces.

In information technology, hardware is the physical aspect of computers,
telecommunications, and other devices.
HD-TV
HD TV is a term used to describe high definition television formats. These include the NTSC format in 16:9 with 853 x 480 resolution and PALplus with 1,024 x 576 resolution.
The implementation of HD TV is being carried out with the term HD-ready. HD-Ready was used to describe the first generation of HD television devices, which were offered to consumers in 1,280 x 720 resolution. The technical description for this format is HDTV 720p.
The HDTV 1080p format has the highest resolution and is referred to as full-HD. This format is broadcast in 1,920 x 1,080 resolution.
Helper Application
In web terms: A program helping the browser to display, view, or work with files that the browser cannot handle itself.
Hertz
Hertz is a unit of frequency (of change in state or cycle in a
sound wave, alternating current, or other cyclical waveform) of one cycle per
second.
Hits
The number of times a web object (page or picture) has been viewed or downloaded.
Home Page
- For a Web user, the home page is the first Web page that is displayed after
starting a Web browser
- For a Web site developer, a home page is the first page presented when a
user selects a site or presence on the World Wide Web.

HTML Editor
A software program for editing HTML pages. With an HTML editor you can add elements like lists, tables, layout, font size, and colors to a HTML document like using a word processor. An HTML editor will display the page being edited exactly the same way it will be displayed on the web.

A form that passes user input back to the server.
HTML Page
The same as an HTML Document.
HTML Tags
Code to identify the different parts of a document so that a web browser will know how to display it.

A computer program that requests a service from a web server.

Same as HTTP but provides secure Internet communication using SSL.

A computer program providing services from a web server.
