Radiotracker once again voted best radio ripper among Internet radio recorders

For years now, Radiotracker has been the most popular and best-selling Windows software on the global market for recording Internet radio stations. The german computer magazines CHIP and PCpraxis tested Radiotracker and its competitors and chose Radiotracker as winner!

Best in test: Radiotracker!

Below are some excerpts and quotes from the May 2010 issue of PCpraxis, from page 45 ff:

“Radiotracker is our clear-cut winner as it was able to accomplish our given task – to create a private collection – better than its competitors.”

“The ripping function was one of the most impressive features during the test: most of the files were correctly recorded, including ID3 tags, album covers and song lyrics, normalized and converted in the desired file format.”

“The program’s best feature: Radiotracker is the only piece of software (software tested in addition to Radiotracker included Tobit Radio.fx Pro, S.A.D. AudioJack 3 and Magix Webradio Recorder 5) that allows users to create a wishlist and then fill it up by recording files from every available station.”

PCpraxis evaluated the software based on the following criteria: 50% for ripping Internet radio stations, 30% for user-friendliness and 20% for additional features. Radiotracker was the only program in the test to receive the best possible grade of VERY GOOD in the most heavily weighted category: Ripping.

PCpraxis also awarded Radiotracker a grade of VERY GOOD for its price-performance ratio. Radiotracker received an overall grade of 1.7 (on a scale of 1 (very good) to 5 (very bad)) and PCpraxis reached the following conclusion:

“(Radiotracker) has by far the best ripping features, is the only candidate with a global wishlist, contains good tagging features and it is very user-friendly.”
