Debbie Harry (Blondie): July 1, 1945

The singer Debbie Harry, who is in the punk band Blondie, was born in Miami, Florida. She was adopted by Richard and Catherine Harry who gave her the name Deborah Ann. 

After dropping out from college and two jobs, Harry became a member of the band Stilettos. When she met Chris Stein, who also joined the Stilettos, they fell in love with each other and decided to form an own band, Blondie. Stein and Harry became famous after the release of their third album “Parallel Lines”. One of their best single hits is “Heart of Glass”. 

In 1982, they decided to put an end to their band because of Stein’s illness. Their affection against each other also ended although Harry looked after him.  

Debbie Harry started her own music career, but in 1999, Blondie restarted releasing new albums.

George Ezra is a songwriter and folk-pop singer from the United Kingdom who has become famous only a few years ago: He published his first EP “Did You Hear the Rain” in 2013 and his first album “Wanted on Voyage” in the next year. The latter became the number one in several countries and contained the hits “Budapest” and “Cassy O”. In 2018, Ezra’s second album was released, “Staying at Tamara’s”, that also became the number one in his home country.  

Ezra is said to be influenced by Bob Dylan and Woody Guthrie. Although he is relatively young, his voice is unusually strong.

Beck: July 8, 1970

In contrary to Starr, the singer Beck could go to school, but he dropped out because he wanted to participate in poetry slams and become a busker. 

In 1993, Beck, whose actual name is Beck Hansen, created his first album “Golden Feelings”. However, he became really successful in 1996 with the album “Odelay” which contained the singles “Devil’s Haircut” and “Where It’s At”. For the latter single and the album, he was honoured with one Grammy Award respectively. 

Besides, one of the most important singles by Beck is “Loser” which was popular in the 1990’s. 

What makes his music so special is the fact that he mixes up various genres like hip-hop, alternative rock, soul and country among others.

Milow: July 14, 1981

Jonathan Vandenbroeck, also known as the singer and song author Milow, grew up in a family with a music affinity and took guitar, piano, and accordion lessons. When Milow was a teenager, he went to a Pink Floyd concert and was so impressed that he wanted to perform on his own. 

In 2006 finaly, his debut album “The Bigger Picture” was released, and it entered the Belgian charts as well as the single “You Don’t Know”. Thanks to the album “Coming of Age” from 2008, and the song “Ayo Technology”, he became well-known in other countries. As his debut album, “Ayo Technology” went gold and platinum. In 2008 and 2009, he was honoured with Music Industry Awards (MIA).
