Since 1963 Charlie Watts is a permanent member of the Rolling Stones as a drummer, 1975 joined Ron Wood as a guitarist. Ron Wood began his musical career at age 17 with the rhythm and blues band The Birds. After dissolution of the band, he joined the Jeff Beck Group in 1967 as bassist alongside vocalist Rod Stewart. He then joined forces with Rod Stewart, the rock band Faces, which helped the band to success. However, Ron Wood also started working with the Rolling Stones and recording music. Later he became a permanent member of the Rolling Stones, but also released solo albums.

As a child, Charlie Watts was already interested in blues music. He was part of the band Blues Incorporated. After rejecting the requests of the Rolling Stones several times, he became part of the band and played the first gig in 1963. After numerous successes with the songs of the Rolling Stones and the rise of the band to world fame, Charlie Watts dedicated his own projects back in the 1980s, such as the jazz orchestra called Charlie Watts Orchestra, the Charlie Watts Quintet, Rocket 88 or the swing band ABC & D of Boogie Woogie.
