Audials Tips: How to Create Smooth Slow Motions and Access Music Everywhere

Have you captured particularly impressive moments in your video, such as natural phenomena or spectacular sports events? They are best showcased in slow motion. Today, you will learn how to smoothly convert a video into slow motion using AI. We will also introduce you to the Audials Play smartphone app. With it, you can listen to your music, podcasts, and radio on the go.

Our Tip: Create Slow Motion with AI

When you slow down a video, it will become choppier as the playback speed decreases. Therefore, you need to increase the number of frames in the video (frame rate) to ensure that the movements in the slow-motion video remain smooth. Audials has the appropriate AI models to insert the missing frames. If you reduce the playback speed to 50%, the frame rate should be at least doubled, and at 20% speed, it should be increased fivefold.

Step 1: Find your video in Audials and hover over it with the mouse until the three-dot menu appears, then select Improve files. Next, choose Insert Frames.

Step 2: Now you can select the desired settings for the slow motion, such as the speed and the AI for frame insertion. Lynx is the fastest AI model, while Altair is the most powerful but takes longer.

Step 3: Once all settings are correct, you can start the slow-motion conversion. You will find the finished video under Video -> My Videos. The new video will be displayed together with the original version.
