Annoying, yes — but in most cases there’s a clear reason: regional licensing, profile/parental settings, or a catalog change. One of the most common “hard” clues that it’s a location issue is Error Code 73.
Below is a practical step-by-step guide to troubleshoot the most common causes.
1) Check for a location/region issue first (Error 73 and similar)

You see Error Code 73 or a message like “This content isn’t available in your current location.”
A title is available in one country but not another because Disney+ catalogs vary by region due to licensing.
How to fix it
- Turn off VPNs, proxies, and “IP anonymizers.”
Even if you’re not actively trying to change regions, some VPN/privacy tools can trigger region detection. - Switch networks for a quick test.
Try mobile data instead of Wi-Fi (or the other way around). If it works on one network but not the other, the issue is likely your network setup (VPN, router settings, DNS filtering, corporate network rules, etc.). - If you’re traveling, check your country/region setup.
When you travel, availability can change depending on the region you’re in — and in some cases Disney+ may require a verification step. - Confirm Disney+ is supported where you are.
