Over time, your music library can collect duplicate songs—especially when recording from radio stations or streaming services. With Audials, you can quickly find and remove duplicates to keep your collection clean and organized.
This guide shows you how to delete duplicate music files both on your PC and on external storage devices like smartphones, USB drives, or cloud storage
I. Delete Duplicate Songs on Your PC
Go to Music
- Open the My Music tab
- Choose an artist, genre, or
- Select All artists to scan your entire collection
- Click the context menu next to the search bar
- Select “Clean up versions and duplicates”
Audials will now scan your library and display all duplicate tracks.
- Delete the versions you no longer need
II. Delete Duplicate Songs on External Devices (Smartphone, USB, Cloud)
You can also clean up duplicates across connected devices and external storage.
Go to Music
- Open the My Music tab
- Open the My Music dropdown menu
- Activate Copy Mode
Select all storage locations you want to include (PC, smartphone, USB, cloud)
Tip:
- Enable Streaming to include saved streaming links
- Some devices may need to be connected via USB cable
The tab will now appear as “All”, showing content from all selected sources.
- Choose All artists to scan everything
- Click the context menu next to the search bar
- Select “Clean up versions and duplicates”
- Review the results
- Delete the duplicate songs you don’t need
Audials will display duplicate files across all selected storages.
