Does Audials work on Apple iMac or MacBook?

Table of Contents

No. Audials 2026 is not designed for macOS (Mac OS X). There is no native Mac version of Audials, and we currently have no plans to release one.

Using Audials on a Mac is only possible via Windows:

All previous Audials versions can be used on Intel-based iMacs or MacBooks by running Windows in a virtual machine or by using third-party software such as Parallels as a Windows compatibility layer.

Intel Macs:

Previous Audials versions have been tested on Intel Macs, and the drivers could be installed without any issues.

ARM Macs (Apple Silicon):

On ARM-based Macs, driver installation can indeed cause problems, and our developers have not been able to find a solution so far. Specifically, the following features do not work on Mac ARM:

  • Converter: Converting AUDIBLE audiobooks (by burning virtual CDs via iTunes)
  • “Video Streaming” + “Other Source/Screen: Screen recording”
  • “Music Streaming” + “Other source” + “Continuous recording”

All other Audials features, including Radio, should work without any problems.

Which devices does Audials work on?

Audials is available for the following operating systems:

  • The Audials One software runs on Windows PCs
  • Audials Play works on Android and iOS smartphones
