Get that costume ready because we’re throwing a Halloween party this week on Otaku Street!

On this week’s episode of Otaku Street, the boys ask themselves how in the world has Sonic the Hedgehog maintained his relevancy through the decades despite the travesties that have come forth in his name? They also run through the most recent PlayStation Showcase. What games does Insomniac even make? The Otaku crew has no clue. Demon Slayer steps back into the limelight with Tanjiro venturing into his first mission. Jamal can’t figure out what to do with his body and Adam gets sexy while spurting out long-winded spells from the anime. There’s a whole lot to unpack here, boys and girls. So put your headphones on and crank the party chat up, it’s Otaku time!

Word on the street, Otaku’s back with an all-new season of podcastin’. Season 2 is starting off with a bang as the boys talk about real-life changes and happenings, Riders Republic and Splitgate, as well as the next anime in the Otaku Street pipeline, Demon Slayer! There are some pretty eerie parallels between this show and the previous one, Joran, and the boys can’t help but talk about that. With Adam and Chris being the only two who hadn’t previously seen any of the show, what are their thoughts so far? And of course, the boys simply could not NOT talk about the long-awaited Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer. I tried to tell you, it’s one loaded episode so don’t miss tonight’s season 2 kickoff block party, on Otaku Street!

It’s the Season 1 finale of Otaku Street coming at you live (not really) and the boys are all back together under one roof. The crew is wrapping up their watch along of Joran: Princess of Snow and Blood with a loaded show. Jin proves he is one blunt MF while Sawa and Rinko go head to head in a wild showdown. Hey, guess what? Someone in this show is alive when we were all confident they were dead. Hanakaze has her baby and Sawa promises to finish what she started BUT not all goes according to plan. An MCU-style end-credit scene pops up and gets the speculation pipes rattling on what’s to come for the future in the world of Joran. So kick the feet up and munch on your coagulated blue blood as Season 1 of Otaku Street comes to an end.

It’s the Return of the Woap as all the boys are back this week for another Joran double-header slug-fest. “Air Jamal” makes his debut and both Adam and Wopeh give a rundown of their experiences at the Beer Olympics (no shoulders were safe). On the anime side of things, Sawa meets Rinko, a brand new Nue executioner, and soon discovers she is both an absolute tank for alcohol but also a world-class assassin. This may be due to the insane wolverine-Esque claws she uses. Sawa finds out who really killed her family as we get a flashback where a whole lot of peeps lose their faces. The dynamic between Sawa and Jin is discussed as the Otaku crew asks ‘Why is Sawa still alive?’, ‘What’s her motive?’, ‘Would Rinko out drink all of them?’, and ‘Is Jin bird-man?’. This week, Adam and Jamal take up the tall task of running the first doubleheader episode of Otaku Street; two episodes of Joran back-to-back. Adam gets caught up on Dragon Ball Super and expresses his nostalgia over those PlayStation demo discs from the late 1990s. The boys also discover that although Asahi and Sawa seem to have reached a point where they can finally take a well-deserved sigh of relief, this particular anime has no happy endings. Makoto is an absolute psycho and is obsessed with Sawa. A new challenger appears and he is deadly. Jin gives both Sawa and the audience a glimpse into his backstory. #ChrisWasRight as an old blonde-headed friend makes a shocking return. We also say R.I.P. to Adam’s Xbox One. Another week, another cookout on Otaku Street. Jamal gives some updates on new seasons of both Vinland Saga and The Rising of the Shield Hero. A “new” Nintendo Switch is on the way. Adam is desperate to find out what’s up with Ubisoft and Assassin's Creed. Joran: Princess of Snow and Blood is still producing more questions than answers. Is Asahi a murderer turned savior and how can she dig so fast? Yukimura is no more as Sawa is “reborn”, Jin is basically Neo from the Matrix and Makoto is now officially out of all the pockets. As they get into anime-talk, they discuss Makoto’s new prosthetic arm and what plays she may have hidden up her one and a half sleeves. Who could replace Janome as Joran’s next big-bad? Who else but … some dude named Travis. Next, how difficult is it to be a world-class assassin if you’re terrified of blood? Our guess is: pretty hard. So put that car in park, lean that seat all the way back, and join the boys on episode 7 of Otaku Street!

The Otaku boys are back on the anime train. This week’s episode of Joran: Princess of Snow and Blood proved to be an eventful one. Fast-paced fight scenes, legendary anime-style screams, big snakes and plenty of blood. A little bit of everything. The end of the episode left the guys with more questions than answers as they pondered where the show goes from here. Sawa’s a badass with plenty of baggage and this episode only adds to that load. Kick back with the crew and be grateful you’re not a character in this show!

In this week’s episode, the crew welcome a guest commenter to collectively gush in adoration over the first season of “Invincible”, Amazon’s animated superhero cartoon based on the iconic Image Comics series of the same name. Topics range from crew members’ favorite show moments to full-on episode reviews to even theories on where the show will go. “That one scene” is one the guys won’t soon forget, either. Just like the show, this episode of Otaku Street is an action-packed affair (minus the lifelong lies, head crushes and spine snaps). Maybe next time.

The Otaku boys are back in anime mode after taking time to focus on E3. They discuss what exactly makes Naruto’s music so good and which other anime compete. Episode 3 of Joran is definitely setting up for a wild ride of a show. The boys react to this episode’s foreshadowing action scenes, backstabbing schemes and traitorous boobies. Especially the traitorous boobies. Listen (and maybe watch?) along with Jamal, Adam, and Chris as they go full nerd this week on Otaku Street!

Games. Are. Back. And the boys are ready. They talk about E3 2021 and give their “Top 4” lists. There is a massively wide array of games on the way. Just about everything from Battlefield 2042 to Super Smash Bros to Riders Republic is discussed. Will we see a Metal Gear Solid remake? The guys sure as s*** hope so. Is there a reason to play super hero games anymore? Is free multiplayer the right move for the industry? Who’s going to pay for all of these damn games? Get ready to go broke in the name of gaming and enjoy Otaku Street’s E3 2021 review.

Monday hit the guys hard this week but Jamal has energy to spare (thanks to the copious amounts of drugs). Resident Evil Village is running fresh in Adam’s Xbox and he can’t keep his mind off anything other than Lady D’s “imposing stature”. Nobody’s sure what’s happening in Joran: Princess of Blood and Snow even after the second episode but they trot along. Also Jamal is apparently an employee in the Museum of Japanese National History.

What is the definition of a nerd? The guys ask each other which way is the best way to describe themselves. Episode 1 of Joran: Princess of Blood and Snow is “reviewed” and discussed. Favorite animals come into play for some reason and Chris talks way too long about it. What’s a demon? Will Chris ever stop talking about cheetahs? Will Wopeh ever wake up?
