Justin Bieber: March 1, 1994

Justin Bieber is a Canadian artist born in Stratford who was brought up by his mother after her separation from the father of the future star. It was Bieber’s mother who published his videos on YouTube and helped him to become famous because like this, Bieber was discovered by an agent looking for young talented musicians.

Even before the release of his first album “My World” in 2009 that was sold more than 100 000 times within one week, Justin Bieber’s songs were among the top 40. In 2010, Bieber finished “My World 2.0”. However, “Journals”, an album from 2013, flopped. But Bieber continued working and he was honoured with a Grammy in 2015 for “Where Are Ü Now”. Two years later, he and Luis Fonsi created the enormously successful “Despacito” song. Bieber also cooperated with artists like Dan + Shay, Ed Sheeran and David Guetta. His last album “Changes” is from 2020.

James Arthur: March 2, 1988

James Arthur’s career, who was born in Middlesbrough, England, really began when he became the winner of the British version of the X Factor in 2012. Before he had performed in bars and pubs and in 2011 he had participated in the TV show The Voice, but the time hadn’t come for him yet.

After his X Factor triumph, his singles became chart hits in the United Kingdom and other European countries. He released the “James Arthur” album in 2013. Arthur had a rather difficult period subsequently, but in 2016 his depression finished and he returned with “Back from the Edge”. The “Rewrite the Stars” song by him and Anne-Marie appeared in “The Greatest Showman: Reimagined” (2018). Next year he created the chart hit single “Falling Like the Stars” that was part of the album “You” of the same year. James Arthur’s “Say You Won’t Let Go” song was played back more than 1 billion times on Spotify, very few artists achieved such a number.

Jennifer Warnes: March 3, 1947

The singer Jennifer Warnes started her music career in talent shows and by performing in the church. Similarly to James Arthur, she performed in clubs and cafes and finally in 1967 she had the chance to perform for a bigger audience in The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour. However, her first albums were not successful.

Thanks to her producer, she made the acquaintance of the well-known artist Leonard Cohen and since then she cooperated with him, the album “Famous Blue Raincoat” is an example.

In 1977 Warnes released the chart hit “Right Time of the Night”. Subsequently, some of Warnes’ songs were added to movies, for example “Up Where We Belong” by Warnes and Joe Cocker became the theme song for “An Officer and a Gentleman”; “Nights Are Forever” for “Twilight Zone: The Movie”; “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” sung by her and Bill Medley became a theme song for “Dirty Dancing”.
