5 Sterne"The best internet radio app.", review of Audials Play from July 5th, 2020

"I love it, it has so many features.. Everyday I discover new radio stations listening to old songs you haven't been listening since your childhood. The app is easy to use and a lot of ways to record and listen later when you are not online.A very rich radio library which you can categorize according your taste. Auto start and shutdown for lazy listeners. It works great with a kindle fire or any other Android device, all you need is curiosity / time and a lot of storage capacity for recordings. It is by far superior to similar apps even among paid ones, often updated with new features and new stations.I am sure you won't regret it..I recommend strongly to all music lovers. Just try it! It's free."

The software upgrades are remarkable each year, and the support is well above most of industry standards. "The program works extremely well. It will capture netflix and put it into a file that can be used later to watch your favorite program on a iPad or android tablet or phone. I tried several other programs with poor results or too much work to get a movie to watch. It has options to convert the file you capture to just about any format you might want. I'm very pleased and it has paid for itself in lost time . This program sets the bar that other programs should try to attain but don't"

5 stars "Audials Tunbite 10 Platinum works GREAT!", found at Amazon.com, Novemvber 30, 2012
"I try to buy whatever I can from Amazon because of their customer service and reputation. This software was available from the manufacturer at a discount (sale price). I decided to "play safe" and spend the extra money and buy it on Amazon. After the point of sale, I was able to download it directly onto my laptop. It extracted and installed itself, and installed 2 icons on my desktop. One for the application, one for the license key code (yes, you can install this on more than one computer!) After it completed installation it asked me if I wanted it to open the program. It is VERY USER FRIENDLY! This was one of the best purchases I have made on Amazon. This program allows me to EASILY download audio and video content from streaming media (subscription) sites. This is all I wanted and this is what I received. If your interest is music, there are plenty more useful applications in this software that I have no interest in, but it was WELL WORTH THE MONEY!! Very easy to use. Works perfectly!"

5 stars "Slick layout, tons of features, easy to use", found at Amazon.de, August 15, 2012
"This program delivers what it promises.
- User friendly and easy to use management functions for your favorite music and videos.
- Listen to and watch your media in your preferred format in high quality
- The program uses the popular “LAME MP3-ENCODER” tool to convert files to other formats. This ensures that files are converted without sacrificing any quality.
- Quick processing of formats thanks to the integrated Tag 3 editor.
- Countless national and international online radio stations available ensuring an almost never inexhaustible selection of music for every music taste.
I have yet to record anything and therefore cannot comment on how and how good this functionality is. I’m certain that will change sometime in the future.
Conclusion:
I have tried out quite a few of similar freeware in the past, but was never completely satisfied. This program has not disappointed and has really been worth the money spent."

"I was on the market for quite some time looking for a good program. This one here is simply the best one out there for Windows. The wish list feature is brilliant – just enter in what you want and wait for it to arrive. The older tracks sometimes take a bit longer, but it lets you know that too. But if I can get what I’m looking for, it’s more than worth it. It also works great with iTunes and iPhones.

When I saw everything that the program can do, I put to the test. I searched for old blues and swing songs, which I found and recorded. I enjoy indie radio stations that play jazz non-stop. 5 stars "Never Look A Gift Horse In The Mouth", found at Amazon.co.uk, 24 July 2010
"What this program does, essentially, is bring home taping off the radio into the 21st century. Once installed on your computer, it allows you to create a wishlist of the music you want (either artists or specific songs) then it scans a large number of online radio stations to detect matching songs being played and downloads copies to your computer. A good way, it seems, to build up a large music collection for free, but does it live up to the promise?...

The first thing to do, I think, is click on the 'wishlist' tab and add some artists/songs that you want.

I mostly like some pretty obscure stuff and I was pleasantly surprised to find that I could queue artists such as Funker Vogt, Combichrist and Apoptygma Berzerk (and I've even had some luck getting music from some of these). Nonetheless, it's worth noting that, because the music gathering relies on radio play, you'll have more luck finding popular tracks/artists. This suits me too. To be honest, there's a fair amount of mainstream stuff that I like as well but have never really felt the need to buy - so I was able to set about adding some music to my collection by artists like Blur, Radiohead and The Killers quite easily.

Once you have a wishlist drawn up, hit 'fulfill' and it's just a matter of waiting for your song collection to start growing. I suggest that you listen to something else in the meantime, as it will soon get repetitive while you only have a few songs to play. That said, based on a wishlist of around 100 (artists and songs; some popular, some obscure) I had over 80 songs downloaded within the first 24 hours (with the computer on quite a lot but not all the time or overnight).

Song quality is generally good, but the only problem is - because DJs have a habit of talking over songs (especially at the start/end and sometimes in the middle) or not even playing the whole thing to begin with, many of them are 'clipped.' To the program's credit, it generally recognizes incomplete songs, sometimes tells you what's missing, and can always attempt to download better versions. Even so, I did find that some of the songs in my library had radio jingles or random DJ banter (in German) on - and in one case I got Blur's 'End of the Century' with Semisonic's 'Secret Smile' tacked on the end!

I admit that this isn't perfect, but when the music comes free I wouldn't complain. The occasional bit of interference is still better than actually listening to a commercial radio station (or even Spotify, unless you pay for the ad-free version) and you can choose the artists/songs that you get. At present, I still have a fairly small library, so it's touch and go between using this or Spotify, but as my library grows then I think I may well come to prefer this. Moreover, it has the advantage that songs can be permanently downloaded to your computer.

This is very useful for me because while I currently have broadband (which I'm trying to make the most of) I'm soon moving to a house without an active phoneline (so I'll either have no internet or have to make do with a pay as you go dongle). Building up a good library before I go means that I'll still have plenty of music to listen to even when no longer connected to the internet. (Apparently you can also transfer the music to MP3 players and so forth, though I haven't tried this myself.)"

5 stars"AMAZING product!", found at Amazon.co.uk, 7 Jun 2010
"This product is amazing and so easy to use, installed quickly then you're ready to start tracking stations and build your dream MP3 collection. Easy interface to use. You can search for or select your favourite artists and songs and add them to your 'Wish List' and sit back and watch your collection build. It tracks soething like 30.000 stations from all over the world and if they play one of your artists or a specific song you have 'wished' it adds it to your collection, you can then transfer these songs to your itunes or various playlists for CDs and burn them.

Excellent product, within 15 minutes I had 30 new songs to add to my colletion, it just collects them all the time it's running if you choose. You can delete ones you dont want or need, absolute perfect product!

Highly recommended for all music fans, so much fun discovering new artists and songs, best product, and so cheap, well worth the money!"

5 stars"Very pleased and surprised", found at Amazon.co.uk, 31 May 2010
"I approached this product with a fair degree of scepticism.
However, it worked straight out of the box, which surprised me. It was simple to install and all I needed/wanted to do was to ask the software to find music that I would not necessarily wish to buy, but wanted to hear in full.
I told it not to link with iTunes, or to manage my existing music collection.
Once I gave it some names to search for, off it went like a demented bloodhound. After two days I had over 90 tracks that had been found. The software tells the user whether anything is missing off the front or back of the recording - obviously DJs tend to butt in. Even when a track has been found, the software keeps trying to find a better version - one with less clipping. I have not found the clipping to be a problem, just 2-3 seconds at the start and the same at the end of some tracks. Other tracks are complete with no clipping.
This software depends on the music being broadcast somewhere when it is searching, so it is not necessarily an immediate process, but so far, it has not failed to find what I wanted. Where I just typed in a name - Brad Paisley - it found a host of songs and brought them to my PC. I'm now a fan based on that!
I thought the problem would be in adding to my iTunes library tracks that had been grabbed, but nothing could be simpler.
The software has no adverse effect on my PC - never slowing it down - and I can't find a single thing to fault it on [and believe me, I'm picky].
The only thing I can think of to say against it is not a problem of the software itself. If you want some music that is obscure and thus doesn't get played, then the software can't find it. Type in "Piltdown Men" and there is zilch. However I have the original vinyl 45 of "McDonald's Cave"/"Brontosaurus Stomp", so it doesn't matter a heap.
I don't often say this about software, but I think it is brilliant."

"I found this product to be great once I got the hang of how it worked. At first when I loaded it up, it couldn't work out how it all worked so left it for a while until I had more time. It was a good two months after I purchased it that I sat down and figured out how it all worked. Now that I know how it all works it's brilliant. I get all the music I want. If it was a bit easier to straight of it would be a brilliant product, but still a very good product."

5 stars "Great Music All The Time", found at Softcity.com, April 6, 2010
"My favorite thing about Audials is that it's super easy to use. One of the reasons that I've never had a lot of music on my computer is because it's incredibly tedious to search and download songs. Audials allows you to pick radio stations with your favorite type of music and then it will automatically burn the songs to your computer (and it deletes most duplicates). Within one day, I had about 2,000 songs and the only work I had to do was to choose a few stations. There's also a section in Audials that lets you add favorite songs or artists and the program will search all radio stations and download the song, whenever it's found. I also use it for an online radio program since there's few commercials. This program is a combination of like 6 programs in one. It's a great deal and I'm always recommending it to my friends."

"This program does exactly what it says. The best part of this program for me is that it adds the ability to record what you hear. Which was a feature of my x-fi in xp but was lost with win7. I´ve been told to use freeware tools to restore the abilty to record what u hear and none as of date have been able to do that. This does so it gets a 5 on that alone. Audio sounds great and the auto record from web based streams is awesome."

Cons: What could it be bad at this tool when you need all of its features every time? So, nothing bad...
Summary: Besides all of those features, as we can find them in its advertisement, as one of its user, I can tell that it does exactly how it's advertised and besides that it's very easy to use and what is most important it converts and downloads music and movies and video clips with very good quality."

"I remember years and years ago listening to the Chart show on the radio on a Sunday afternoon, with my finger poised over the Record button on my tape player to try and record the latest music. The recordings were always really poor, with Bruno Brookes' annoying voice or a jingle going over the first few bars of the track.... Fast forward 20 years and this sounds crazy, especially with products like AudialsOne. You can literally download any music for free, and unlike my attempts with the tape recorder 20 years ago, the quality is exceptional and there are no jingles or voiceovers at all. What makes Audials special is that it not only does music, but video too. It literally means that you can get any music and video for free. It sounds too good to be true, but believe me once you have tried it you won't look back."

"If you want a programme that searches all the internet radio stations for genres or specific artists or tracks. This really is quite excellent. I left this on for about 5 hours and I had 10GB of music data. It sorts all the downloads into specific genres. Everthing is tagged and ready to be listened to. You can select the lowest bit rate you want to record music. You can do run this programme with a scheduled close time. It will record many programmes simultaneously or queue them up for processing. I thought it was great, easier to set this running as opposed to listening to some 14,500 web radio stations to find something I want. Recomended without hesitation."

5 stars"Good facilities...", found at Amazon.co.uk, 16 Nov 2009"I chose Radiotracker Platinum because I thought I could get some good free music from it.
The software itself is easily installed so if you are a new computer user you won't struggle. The interface is unusual but fairly easy to get to grips with. It contains areas for radio, music, podcasts finders. The radio allows you to find radio stations which can be ripped or listened to, the music finder finds mp3s (I think) for you to download, and the podcasts section obviously finds relevant podcasts according to your search criteria.
I found the radio section really good and was able to find relevant music to my taste. The searcher allows you to find music with a specified bitrate as well which meant I could rip radio stations which a minimum of 256kb per second bitrate for example... The ripper works well and you can play music whilst you rip it as well...
The radio facilities are very good."

5 stars"Interesting Product let down by Internet Radio", found at Amazon.co.uk, 19 Oct 2009

"Radiotracker is a piece of software that allows you to record MP3 straight from streaming radio stations onto your hard drive. The concept is that you can specify a music genre, artist, or even track titles, and it will 'listen out' for a match and then record it. I've used Radiotracker on and off since I received it and have had mixed results.
First the good stuff: It does what it says it will - I gave it a mixture of artists and it promptly went away and started recording streamed music by those artists. It will happily record multiple copies of the same track but tags them with a quality rating, so that you can decide which are worth keeping. You can exclude low bit rate stations. You can exclude songs, or tell it to stop recording copies of something once you've got one you want to keep. All in all very good, easy to use, and the user interface is good at showing you what is happening, what has been recorded, etc...
This is a good product to build a party play list from if you don't want to pay for the music..."

 5 stars"Very Useful Music Downloader...", found at Amazon.co.uk, 17 Sep 2009

"Download music of all types for free from the Internet. Sounds too good to be true? Well, it is... and it isn't.

I've not much new to add to what previous reviewers have said about this product. It's good, but limited, however, at this price it's got to be worth a punt - if only to help you find that odd gem you've been searching for all those years.

Set-up is easy and it's not difficult to work out how things function, although browsing the online help can consolidate and deepen your knowledge of how everything works.

It does what it promises, but it can be annoying when a DJ talks over the intro or outro of a piece of music - as you can imagine - or fades a song out early. Longer orchestral pieces tend to be the best to download - there're not many DJs waffling over the start of Ralph Vaughan Williams' `The Lark Ascending'. However, be prepared for some fairly low-fi stuff.

It's also good for sniffing out those bands who you've not heard anything by, but the critics are raving about, and sampling their stuff before buying.

Great thing about Radiotracker is it's free and legal, so there's no chance of someone knocking on your door, hauling your, ahem, bottom off to court and giving you a large fine."

5 stars"A good product let down by the UI...", found at Amazon.co.uk, 17 Sep 2009

"I was surprised to find out that there was a way to get music for free over the internet which was not illegal, and when you spend as much time as me listening to music and downloading tracks (legally) then this product really does sound like a good idea. As good as it may seem, I still cannot believe that you can legally record tracks from online radio stations. It just seems like it should be illegal and that this product is too good to be true.

Anyway, the installation of this product was quick and simple, as you would expect nowadays...
Adding an artist, track or album to search for proved much simpler than I first anticipated with most of the artists listed in a menu (along with song names). Plus, for the artists and songs which are not listed you can add your own; also you can set the program to download podcasts however I have not tried this feature yet.

I have found that the quality of the tracks downloaded is also quite good, with most fetched at around 160kbps which should prove good enough for the majority of people. Another handy feature offered by Radiotracker is the ability to only fetch tracks with a kbps between X and X which means that you do not end up with tracks of a substandard quality.

Overall I can highly recommend this program for all music lovers who want music free with no strings attached!"

5 stars"Absolutely Awesome!!!!!", found at Amazon.co.uk, 11 Sep 2009

"It is really really rare for me to ever award anything I review 5 stars. Seriously check out my other reviews. I've reviewed hundreds of items but this just simply rocks!!! Very intuitive and easy to use. In it's basic form you have a wish list. Type in your albums, artists or songs or whatever it is you want to grab an mp3 version of and then sit and wait. What this great little package does is take your wishlist and scans THOUSANDS of online radio stations for your songs....as soon as it makes a hit it starts to record them. Ahhhh I hear you say but radio stations don't always play a song in it's entirety!!! Yes tha'srue so one of the things this package does is KEEP LOOKING for your songs and when it finds a more substantial or better quality version it replaces the old one. In short it endlessly looks for your songs and updates them. Even better you can specify the quality of MP3 you want!! Anything up to 320bps. It is really a great little package. It stors the MP3 and lets you dump them to your ipod or mp3 player or you can burn them to CD or whatever you want. When I got this package to review I was sceptical but my oh my. This is a real treasure and a find. They really do need to market this product. It's Brilliant!!! Tested on Windows 7, Vista 64 and 32 Bit Operating Systems."

Cons: so far so good"

5 stars "Impressive", found at Amazon.co.uk, 8 Sep 2009

"Installation was easy enough on a Vista desktop and I soon found how to specify where to save the MP3s. I then set it to look for "The Beatles" via the artist browser.

Within a few hours it had found over 150 tracks and made MP3 copies of them. Magic! Apparently legal too - on the basis that recording what you're listening to on the radio for personal use has long been OK in most countries. Except, of course, that Radiotracker is doing the listening for you, automatically searching Shoutcast stations that send information that lets Radiotracker identify what tracks are playing. At least it's just intercepting and recording an audio stream so there's no question of you having to go anywhere near dodgy download sites. I found that it had got tracks from all over the place, including Fiksz Radio and Power Oldies from Hungary.

So I had my 150+ Beatles songs - but that was just the start. Because of differences in the track descriptions there were a lot of unrecognized duplicates (eg "The Beatles - Help" vs "Beatles - Help" vs "Beatles, The - Help"), so I had to go through the list deleting the less good duplicates. Then I deleted the tracks we had already bought on our 4 Beatles CDs and also all the tracks I didn't like.

Finished? Not nearly. The quality of the remaining tracks varied wildly. Most were streamed at 128kbps (which I'd left as the minimum) and the quality is OK but noticeably less good than tracks ripped from CDs or MP3s bought from amazon. So I deleted a load more where the quality was really poor. Then there's the problem of the start and end of the tracks. Because they're captured from internet radio streams there's a big problem with disc jockeys talking over the start and end of tracks. Radiotracker makes a fairly good try at fading in and out to lose this but does quite often leave DJ talk at the ends of tracks, eg "It's the top of the hour and you're listening to ..." So next I had to go through the tracks I'd kept, finding out which had this problem then loading them into the Audacity audio editor to slice off the rubbish. I also fixed the ID3 tags - in many cases the album wasn't listed although in many others Radiotracker shows the album cover and even the lyrics. Hint: in Radiotracker right click on a track to edit ID3, remove from hard disk etc.

Finally I was left with a collection of around 25 tracks I like and didn't otherwise have. No more than 4 from any one album. Listening to them is fine in a nostalgic sort of way but the quality is definitely down compared with all our bought music (lots of CDs plus downloads, mainly from amazon). It sounds especially odd the way most tracks are faded in after the start and some faded out before the end. But hey, it was free apart from some time.

Whilst tidying up the tracks I kept I found an excellent discography list online and entered eight specific tracks I still didn't have into Radiotracker; Eleanor Rigby, Penny Lane etc. It set off "Searching 2802 stations for 8 wishes" and after an hour found the first of them. Then a second a few minutes later. Quite impressive when you think how long it would take you to chance upon a specific track on an internet radio station. Any tracks I want to keep long term I'll probably buy, if only to get the full length tracks, with higher quality. But Radiotracker is great for getting to listen to tracks you might like enough to buy, especially (like The Beatles) where they are not generally available online. And who wants to buy a whole album if you only like a few tracks on it?"

"Wasn't sure how much I'd use this but having had it for just under a week now, I must say I like it!
It´s quite easy to use and quickly found LOADS of soul music stations & artists, which is what I asked it for.
Bandwidth can be a problem and the term 'soul' is quite widely defined but its very useable and great for finding new (to me) songs as well as just listening to songs you know but don't own or even ones you do own but never think to play.
Very easy to install and use, it can do lots of things I've not discovered yet but I'd say well worth buying IF you like music a lot and have decent speakers / soundcard with your PC."

"If you want lots of tracks to fill your mp3 player or iPod, this is the program to get. Once installed, the user interface has many controls, but don't worry. If you click on the Musicfinder tab you can input the names of favourite artists and Radiotracker downloads tracks from thousands of web broadcasts. Leave it running and go to bed. If you choose a much-broadcast name, like The Who, you will get a new track every few minutes. I entered about twenty names, ranging from Aretha Franklin to Debussy, some jazz artists, too, and in a few hours I had over 200 mp3 tracks which had been neatly put into folders in My Music. With one button-click they can then be added to your iTunes library or you can synch directly from Radiotracker. That's great. If you search on a genre (say, hip hop, or classical, or blues) you will be flooded with tracks. You can set up filtering out of duplicates. Most tracks play well as received, but you can manually cut out unwanted lead-ins and ending noises. Almost all stations are non-UK, so lesser known British artists may be slow coming. No BBC, of course. Adding your own choice of stations to the database is possible, but I found it tricky and time-consuming. With a little playing around, the interface seems more usable, although I can't get the podcast feature to work at all. I think the ideal way to use RadioTracker is alongside iTunes, which is great for podcasts, anyway. Most of what you get is 128Kbit quality, but you can opt for less if you like. I hope its all legal. I hope you buy it if you want lots of music of every kind."

"This is a great little program. As the product description says it basically scans internet radio stations and downloads tracks onto your hard drive. No fuss, no charge, and yet apparently it's all above board and there are no copyright/royalty issues (and who am I to argue?)

The software downloads easily enough and you are then presented with an interface (see product photos) which prompts you to choose the musical genre (or podcast) you're interested in (NB not all tastes are catered for but it is quite broad and you can also add your own). You are then asked to choose the number of stations you wish to monitor from a list of 15000 (though again you can add your own). I chose between ten and twenty and pressed 'activate' and then just watched as Radiotracker simultaneously recorded the tracks that the chosen stations happened to be playing and added them to a folder on my hard drive. The system is highly flexible and artists, tracks and stations can be black-listed so you don't download unwanted material and what's more it also locates album artwork, tracklisting AND lyrics where available. Anyway once you have the music you desire you are then able (from the same interface) to burn your selections onto CD, convert them to MP3s or turn them into ringtones. I found this software as easy to use as stand-alone 'dedicated' CD-burning software too. I was particularly delighted with the ease of use of the ring-tone generator software: again I have some stand alone software for this but Radiotracker's version is better and less fiddly to use (yet fully featured for what you need). Lastly this version of Radiotracker now features the facility to record social web radio websites such as Last.fm which is brilliant if you need to track down that obscure 'Tudor Lodge' track (that would never, EVER get played on radio - even with 15000 stations to choose from!). The only downside is that you are typically getting a compression/quality rate of 160 Kbps but this is generally satisfactory for most people anyway. If only it would work with Spotify!

I am happy to award this product five stars. Easy to use and gives great results. Still can't believe there's no catch!"

5 stars "A LOT better than I expected...", found at Amazon.co.uk, August 22, 2009

"OK, so there are plenty of free ways out there to download music. But, if you wish to stay on the right side of the law, Radiotracker offers a good alternative to firing up your favourite Pete 2 Pete program. I was sceptical, of how good it would be, being let down by "radio cutting" solutions in the past, but this one is really good at cutting all the junk you don't want to hear such as jingles and ads and leaving you with the good stuff - the music.

The database is one of the strong points of this software, as there are plenty of stations (over 20,000 it says on the box.) You have the option of just listening to them (which is a delight in itself - some are extremely good quality and the software handles them well without buffering problems - they also play almost instantly) or you can set Radiotracker to "Autorip".

For this, you just select the genre you are most interested in and select a maximum amount of stations, and the software will do the rest of the work for you. I selected Top 40, with a maximum of 5 stations, I also made sure this list included 2 stations that I knew well and listen to regularly to get good results - and it did! After leaving it a couple of hours, I had a good selection (40+) of 128kbps MP3 (this was the bitrate of the station broadcasting, I believe the bit rate of the recordings remain parallel to the bit rate the station broadcasts at), and just like it says on the tin the ads/DJ talk/jingles were cut and I had MP3s worthy of being placed on my iPod. Excellent - all legal and all free. This software is also intelligent enough to recognize when a song has already been collected (mainly due to using the station's metadata - (which also means your tunes are correctly tagged), and then it will select the best version, and delete the other ones (you can change it to keep them all in the settings should you wish to listen back and decide for yourself.)

Radiotracker has another main function, Music Finder. This allows you to enter some Artists into your "wishlist" and when it detects an internet station is playing them, it will automatically record and tag them. Similar to the Autorip function, only you have more control. I found this worked extremely well.

Radiotracker, as well as being able to record from radio stations will also work with Imeem, Last.fm, Pandora and Soundclick, although I didn't try these.

When you are happy you've got enough tunage under your belt and in Radiotracker's Library, you have the option of playing them back, burning them to a CD or syncing them with a portable device such as an MP3 player (iPods included!) or a USB memory stick. All this can be done within the software's friendly interface. All being well, your music should be sorted into correct sub folders (although you can set it to just chuck it into the main directory if you wish) and correctly tagged with Artist and song title. I copied them over to iTunes to get the Album name and artwork, but this isn't exactly necessary.

All in all, this is an excellent piece of software and does what it promises - and does it well. If you've been let down before by "radio-ripping" solutions, don't give up yet, this could be what you're looking for. Yes, it may be easier for you to source your music from elsewhere, either paid for or not, but where's the fun in that? This is just a step up from recording the charts on a Sunday afternoon, only much easier and 21st century friendly! It also means you get a few surprises here and there - songs/artists you might not have heard of before, but instantly love.

Installation was super quick and hassle free on my Vista machine,(also works on XP) which I'm thankful for and it just works!"

"Pros: Very easy to use & converts everything I have given it. Stuff I legally bought from Walmart that I wanted to put on a new iPod to stuff I legally bought from iPod I wanted to put on an Archos. Things downloaded from YouTube or music ripped from DVD.

Cons: Cannot find any. It does it all.

Summary: As mentioned in the CONS section, TuneBite does it all. I first got it because I had about 500 WMA songs that I had legally purchased and wanted to convert them to and iPod. It took a couple of hours, yet it cranked through ALL of them. It just searches through your whole PC and finds them and converts them.
You can tell it where to store them.
It also converts video (or strip the audio from the video) between different systems and this is great because I can download stuff from the library and then convert it to whichever unit I have space on to take it with me to watch/listen on.
Never have had ANY problems with it.
They are offering an upgrade and I afraid to take it because I just love this version!"

5 stars "A must-have for music lovers…", found at Amazon.de, September 25, 2008

"I’d like to start off by saying that I got Radiotracker directly from “Audials.” Therefore, I can say exactly what it can do. The first thing I noticed was the unique design. In the latest version, there are even more radio stations than ever; 20,000 radio stations and 80 music genres. Now you can create different wish lists and the editing function has been improved in the new version. The program also informs you when you should re-edit songs by displaying an exclamation point. A green check mark indicates that the recording is top-notch. Now you can also see where the station’s broadcast originates by looking at the flag by the station name. In doing so, you can select American or international web radio stations and get all of the ones available in a specific bit rate, which you can specify yourself (128 bit is the default rate). By creating different favorite groups, you can select different radio stations to be recorded that are tailor-made for your music tastes. The main menu displays the station, artist, title, bit rate. The main menu in version 4 no longer displays the size of the track but has two new features: the length of the track and the country flag of the web radio station. If the computers software and transfer rate can handle it, you can record up to 100 radio stations simultaneously. I typically record 12 to 16 stations and haven’t had any problems whatsoever. Another new feature is that stations can now be streamed in AAC format. And just like the MP3s, you can set the min. and max. bit rate (up to 320kbit) for both formats. Now you can also use the convenience function to either listen to or rip the best web radio stations with a simple mouse click. Yet another new feature is that by simply entering the artist’s name, Radiotracker displays which stations play that artist the most.

As you can see, there are a lot of new features in the latest version and the best part is everything is easy to navigate and use. Even beginners can run the program without major difficulties. Radiotracker is simply worth it – no if ands or buts about it. To all those with version 4, a switch is definitely the smart move.

Without a doubt the best Radiotracker yet. I’m giving it 5 stars for an amazing piece of software available at a reasonable price. It doesn’t have cause any problems on your computer and offers tons of entertainment and enjoyment…"

Believing free mp3 music direct to your hard drive was too good to be true, I waited to find the catch or the knock on the door from the download Police! Easy to install software with on disc instructions, it was ready to run pretty quickly. Select the genre or type of artist/music you want the Tracker to search for, activate tracker and watch your music folder fill up. Edit, delete or burn the music as you want, there will be some songs you might not recognize or in languages you don't understand as most of the stations are European or American. However the songs are almost always in English. Not many British stations because they just want the profits from music. Other than that free music of all types. Open your mind to music you have yet to discover."

5 stars "Now your kids can get their favorite MP3s free and legally", found at Amazon.de, September 3, 2008

"I actually just wanted to buy Radiotracker first, but then I saw that Audials One contained Radiotracker, Videoraptor and Tunebite all for a very reasonable price.

After some trial and error, the program gets easier to use. The fact that it’s a bit difficult at first is probably due to the wide range of options and features. For example, choose one or several stations (depending on the available bandwidth) and let these stations record for as long as you like. The amazing Radiotracker edits the songs automatically (one MP3 per song). This process is rarely completed perfectly with the first try, however, and this is the cool part, Radiotracker then searches for the song in question and improves the quality of the recording. If everything goes well (and more than 50% of the time this was the case) then you’ve got high-quality MP3s with the corresponding file names, ID3 tags, and album covers. Simply record a music tag from your favorite Internet radio station, sort the files a bit, and voila you’ve got a massive collection of MP3s free and legally! It is really a sharp program. Show your kids how to run the program and you’ll never have to worry about them acquiring MP3 files for their cell phones illegally.

What if the kids want their favorite songs by their favorite artists? No problem! Enter the artist and song title (optional), several tags can be selected simultaneously, and let Radiotracker search through all the Internet radio stations there are. Depending on how often the song is played, Radiotracker finds it quickly and usually several times over. Sometimes a bit longer, sometimes a bit shorter – it just depends on how the song was faded in or out. Regardless, you can pick out the best copy and that’s it!

I had been waiting for a program like Radiotracker. I haven’t had the chance to try Videoraptor or Tunebite but I’m certain that they also do exactly what they say they do."

Amazon rating - 5 stars"Radiotracker is A-One", found at Amazon.de, August 16, 2008

"I saw a review of the product one morning during the news broadcast and thought I would give it a try. It is very easy to set up and intuitive to use and I am extremely pleased with the performance. I was able to pick up some recordings for difficult to find artists and tracks I didn't even know existed. I would recommend this package to anyone seeking to find current artists as well as older recordings to add to their collection. If the recording is played somewhere in the world and you are watching for it, this program will grab it for you. It requires some management of the duplicates found during the process, but that is an easy issue to deal with."

"There really isn’t a thing to criticize about this program.

From the easy installation, to the easy to use program functions, up through the end result, this program is quite simply a success.

Simply enter in the artist’s name in the search engine, and in a matter of hours you have tons of free and legal music on your hard drive!

A hit through and through!!"

5 stars"Surprise, Surprise...", found at Amazon.de, April 8, 2008

"It is true. Up until now, I had been using Audio 180 version 3 and was quite satisfied with it. But I kept on hearing overwhelmingly positive things about this product.

And because I am always on the lookout for the atypical, I thought, I’ll give it a shot.

The installation was over quickly and painlessly after I had established an Internet connection. The accompanying hand book was fine, but I didn’t need it because everything was self-explanatory.

After a single day, I had around 30 songs that you can’t buy anywhere anymore. That’s pretty cool.

Even if the program was running, I had no problems whatsoever with office programs or with the computer crashing.

It’s also very cool that the program can record songs from more than 16 radio stations simultaneously. Audio 180, version 3, could not record more than 8 stations, and really bogged down the computer in the process although I have a DSL-16000 connection.

I am now a big fan of this program and cannot recommend it highly enough.

For those who have patience and are searching for what was once believed to be lost, heed my words…this is your chance to find those hard to find titles that you haven’t heard in ages. You can listen to them on your MP3 player or in your car.

Of course, not every song is perfectly cut but there is an editing function that allows you to take care of that yourself with just a few simple steps.

Search, find, record and burn immediately. It really is a great product at a fair price, just like it should be."

"I agree with (almost) all the reviews… the program is great.

The software searches for specified MP3s in more than 2,500 pre-set stations, registered all the artists I specified and displayed similar artists.

You can set up everything easily and clearly (bit rate, number of stations to be recorded, excludes MP3s already in your collection and excludes unwanted titles)..."

"Tunebite 5.1 Kudos to RS!", found in Tunebite forum, March 3, 2008

"I would just like to thank the development team for their efforts with Tunebite. Most of us do not realize the work and hours of testing it takes to make a piece of software like this. Tunebite 5.1 runs 30% faster on my same machine with as much as 4 additional slots while processing Audio files. It also tags and finalizes much faster too! I haven't done any Video processing with it yet, but I am sure it will be just as impressive! A note to all Vista users: Please be patient with RS, they are working very hard to get Tunebite tweaked to work better with Vista, and still remain as reliable, if not more so than it has been with XP platforms. If I can help anyone with any problem or issue please feel free to post a thread, I and others will do our best to help make your Tunebite experience and use a joy! As one user sent me a very nice token of appreciation: it said "Tunebite Rocks!"

Best,

"I have been using RT4 for about 2 weeks now and am absolutely crazy about it. I have been a country music fan for 40 years (I have a collection of audio tapes and cassettes) and my kids recently gave me a laptop with RT4 on it and I am still amazed at what it can do. Specified songs and artists are added (without the jingles) to my collection overnight including lyrics and can be opened, deleted or archived at any time. The sheer amount of music on your computer will force you to restrict your searches, otherwise you’ll be overwhelmed due to the breadth and number of songs. The only thing that has yet to work properly is communicating with other users (to exchange radio lists). But who cares? After ten years of fruitless searches, I have finally found “Long Black Rifle” by the Kingston Trio!!  I cannot recommend it highly enough and on top of that installing it was a piece of cake!"

5 stars"The best audio tool on the market", found at Amazon.de, February 14, 2008

"This audio tool is awesome. Easy to use and does almost everything by itself.

  • installation (Internet connection is required).
  • registration (the hardest part due to the long activation number)
  • choose your favorites. The program assists you with corresponding additions to the chosen artists or by displaying similar artists. You can either select artists or individual songs.
  • Zero problems with the software guidelines.
  • Specify the folder to which the MP3s should be saved.
  • Start it up and watch it go

From this point on the program takes over and does EVERYTHING itself.

Search, record, standardize, edits and saves with the correct title ID. The only thing left for the user to do is to copy the music onto an MP3 stick, DVD, etc. and that’s it!

Since the program pretty much takes care of everything, there is nothing left for you to do other than watch it go and start listening to your music.

Depending on your Internet connection, the program downloads anywhere from 3-16 songs simultaneously. Simply awesome. Nothing less than the highest rating would do it justice."

5 stars"My compliments to the developers", found at Amazon.de, January 25, 2008

"I have been using Radiotracker since version 2, in order to wade through the sheer enormity of music styles that today’s artists provide, something that should be the motivating factor for any music fan, who uses such a program. That worked perfectly, but the MusicFinder (i.e. searching according to artist or song title) never worked properly in the earlier versions, which was aggravating considering the fact that the standard version was free of charge and the features that you had to buy didn’t work! But hey, the software developers also have to get paid.

Since then, the previous faulty functions have been repaired and Radiotracker is THE program for exploring the web radio station jungle. I paid a mere €15 and the tests I have put it through have shown that it indeed does what it says it does. Even the hard to find titles can be found relatively quickly and painlessly.

I’d like to sincerely compliment the developers. I can only advise other music lovers to buy the program while software of its kind is still legal.

I have also tested a competitor’s product, which comparatively looks quite outdated."

5 stars"Top Deluxe – completely satisfied", found at Amazon.de, November 8, 2007

"After purchasing Audio 180% and being incredibly disappointed with it, I bought Radiotracker and am more than satisfied! I can’t recommend it enough! The “wish list” function is significantly better (Audio 180% is limited to just 8 stations), because Radiotracker can monitor a lot of stations simultaneously.

I also like the fact that I can specify the bandwidth usage! In doing so, I can let Radiotracker run while I surf the Internet. In the last two and a half days, I have downloaded roughly 6 GB of MP3s! Another cool function is that the program organizes and saves the files according to my specs."

Amazon rating - 5 stars"Radiotracker rocks!", found at Amazon.com, November 7, 2007

"I just bought this product and I am very glad I did.

I read a few things before buying it and the fact that it has many international awards, one from about.com among them, caught my eye, so to speak. The awards are numerous and also the articles in magazines I found written are positive.

It is an exceptional product and before anything else: it is legal!

It has everything you need to get yourself quality music. It has a function that makes it easy to find the right music, even a particular song you wish for. If you use this function, just leave the tool started on your PC and in a short time you'll have all the music you like and wished for. It also has a feature, with the help of which you can create ring tones from the tracks the tool has previously found.

Really, it's cool. I can only recommend it, after having tested it."

5 Sterne"Radiotracker 4 the successful follow-up to its predecessor", found at Amazon.de, October 12, 2007

"Radiotracker Platinum is the MP3 MusicFinder par excellence. The other manufacturers of similar products only provide filters as wish lists and use the band width in its entirety for recording Internet radio stations. Radiotracker works completely differently. Radiotracker Platinum only starts recording when web radio stations start playing specified songs. When you enter an artist’s name in the wish list, you’ll be met with hundreds of matches and tons of MP3s in just a few seconds. If you search for random music from a specific genre, the Autorip mode will wow you with thousands of MP3s on your hard drive within just a few short hours.

The other functions are also great: ID3 tags, CD artwork, lyrics, ring tones (if that’s your thing), Podcasts, CD burner (Nero is still better) and music can be played on your cell phone or iPod. The Audiostudio is also a big help to further edit the MP3s that have already been cut automatically. A success through and through!!"

Amazon rating - 4 stars"Great software", found at Amazon.de, September 11, 2007

"Radiotracker 3 Platinum shines with its title/artist wish list function. Pretty much every song one enters onto the wish list is eventually (in a short time or eventually) ripped and (as long as you set the quality level to a minimum of 128 kbit/s) saved as an MP3 file with excellent sound quality. A personal music collection can quickly grow to a few hundred tracks. One also has the ability to rip from multiple broadcasters (depending on available Internet bandwidth) at the same time or record music based on individual tastes.

The software is relatively easy to operate because it focuses on the most-needed functions..."
